It was helpful to question and turnaround my thoughts on this. I know if I do have traits the very fact I am aware of them probably means I am not a narcissist. I know a couple of narcissists too, very self-absorbed and none of the emotional empathy you need when relating to other human beings. I try and make a connection with them but receive no heart connection back, its really strange to me but I am learning to accept that is the way they are and they will either change or not but its not my responsibility.

Much love xxxx

Goodness. I have a couple of friends are a total narcissists (they miss me till they realize i don't fulfill need #6; a need fueled and influenced by #1, #3 and #7 ;~D)and the woman I currently work with is a narcissist (in her mid 60s and fits all from #1-#7 ;).

The fact that you are able to reflect the way you do and learn and grow the way you do prove that you aren't. I think you're just growing into your self confidence. Learning you how to trust in ourselves enough to look out for ourselves enough to attempt to trust others again is hard. I still struggle myself.

You are awesome!
